"The Amen Break" - interesting vid on a certain oft-sampled clip

Not a big fan of any of these styles of music (though drum 'n bass can sometimes be cool, and of course old school hip hop = stuff white people like after all ), but it's an interesting vid on sampling and the way this one clip apparently got taken and shaped into so many permutations (and also answers a question I had for some time, namely how such a ringy and identifiable snare sound seemingly came to be so integral to the drum 'n bass sound). Yes I know the visuals are...different, hey I didn't make it

Haha, well if it was posted here in the last 2 years or so I'm pretty sure I'd remember it But yeah, now that I look the vid is from 2004 - oh well, it was new to me!
