Not as many funny nominees this year - damn. And I'm kinda surprised that Maiden weren't nominated, given they had their best year commercially and critically for a while.

Best Metal Performance:

LAMB OF GOD - "Redneck"
MASTODON - "Colony Of Birchmen"
MINISTRY - "Lies, Lies, Lies"
SLAYER - "Eyes Of The Insane"
STONE SOUR - "30/30-150"

Best Hard Rock Performance:

BUCKCHERRY - "Crazy Bitch"
NINE INCH NAILS - "Every Day Is Exactly The Same"
SYSTEM OF A DOWN - "Lonely Day"
TOOL - "Vicarious"
WOLFMOTHER - "Woman"

Oh, and the Grammys have even less credibility than they already have (amazing, I know) because Bruce Springsteen's "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions" only received a nomination for Best Folk Album.

What a joke.

The Stone Sour album is excellent! :headbang:
Best album I have heard for some time.

SOAD aren't really that popular anymore and considering they have pretty much broken up...

and technically Ministry aren't metal but I do hope they win and NIN aren't really hard rock but oh well this is the grammys.

Go Tommy Emmanuel. I saw him live about 14 years ago, my first gig!

Oh, and Bon Jovi got a nomination for Country Collaboration With Vocals for "Who Says You Can't Go Home" from Have a Nice Day (w/ Jennifer Nettles).

For what it's worth.
