The Artimus Pyle Band (APB) honoring the legacy of Ronnie Van Zant’s Lynyrd Skynyrd, is thrilled to announce three new members to the lineup. These musicians bring fresh energy and unmatched talent to APB. Their shared passion for Southern and classic rock further the band’s mission to honor the music and legacy of the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Artimus Pyle, the last surviving member of Skynyrd’s classic lineup.

Bo Bice joins APB as lead vocalist and front man. Bo rose to fame as the runner-up on American Idol in 2005, where his incredible talent captured the hearts of millions. Over the span of his 35-year music career, Bo has earned numerous music awards and was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. His contributions to music and his performances for U.S. service members earned him recognition from President George W. Bush at the White House in 2009. With three Gold albums to his name, Bo made his mark in pop culture, appearing in commercials for brands like Moe’s Southwest Grill and Ford, and making notable TV appearances on The Today Show, The Tonight Show, The Ellen Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! In addition, he has performed alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd on American Idol and toured on several dates with the band for the past two decades, which lead to the recording “Gimme Back My Bullets“ for their VH1 Honors TV special and accompanying album.

Barry Lee Harwood joins the APB stage on guitar, vocals, and multiple instruments. During his extensive career, Barry Lee was a songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist with Rossington Collins Band. He was formerly a member of Artimus Pyle Band and we’re happy to welcome him back! To name a few, Barry Lee appears on multiple Lynyrd Skynyrd albums, including:

“Made In the Shade” (Nuthin’ Fancy) – dobro and mandolin.
“All I Can Do Is Write About It” (Gimme Back My Bullets) – mandolin.
“Honky Tonk Night Time Man” (Street Survivors) – dobro.

Barry Lee co-produced “Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere” and “This Is the Way” (Rossington Collins Band) and “Here There & Back” (Allen Collins Band). Harwood’s sheer talent and multifaceted experiences in the industry add a great dimension to ABP’s signature sound and further enhances its connection to the legacy of Ronnie Van Zant and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Rounding out the new lineup is Shannon Wickline, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and former keyboardist for The Charlie Daniels Band, The Bellamy Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Travis Tritt, James Otto, Kenny Rogers and others. Shannon’s expertise on keyboards, rich vocals and deep background in Southern rock and country music make him an invaluable addition to the band.

“I’m excited to welcome these incredible musicians to the APB family,” said Artimus Pyle. “Bo, Barry Lee, and Shannon each bring something special to the table. I truly believe this new lineup will continue delivering the passion and authenticity that our fans expect and deserve.”

Bo Bice commented, “I’m happy to announce that I’ll be joining the Artimus Pyle Band and I’m excited to be part of keeping the Southern Rock dream alive. It’s been a pleasure to get to know the Band and I look forward to meeting all of you soon out on the road. I’d like to thank Artimus, the Band and crew, and all of you for welcoming all of us into the family. What a dream come true to help carry on this amazing legacy of music. I’m beyond humbled.”

Fans can experience the new lineup live as APB continues its nationwide tour, bringing the unforgettable sound of Skynyrd’s iconic music catalog to audiences across the country. Upcoming tour dates and ticket information are available at apbmusic.com.
