It was a tough call; but after much deliberation and many hours of studying all four albums, TBW came out on top. There must be others who feel this way, come, join my in my new found love for TBW. The lyrics are very good,

We shall rejoice in the beauty of Pekka's newer style, Antti's awesome shredding, Marco's sweet serenades, Janne's BADASS drumming, and Timo's bass holdin' it down. I like the lyrics. It's hard to choose a favorite song.

<3 Kalmah

P.S.
RELEASE SOME FREAKIN' MERCHANDISE!

Well, I tend to like Swampsong, They Will Return and The Black Waltz more than Swamplord , just my preference. They're all great albums :D

What are you guys' favorite songs on the new cd? I'm soooo addicted the whoel thing :zipit: Svieri Doroga is soo beautiful :D

I think we don't have the same taste...TBW is a really good album but Swamplord and Swampsong tottaly changed my life. TWR was good but is in last position on my chart...

I know a lot will disagree but it is MY opinion, don't bitch about it...

IMO...

1) TBW - I LOVE THIS ALBUM! My fav.'s would have to be... BMS, Groan of Wind, and Mindrust! \m/

2) Swampsong- CLOSE SECOND. STRONG ALBUM! Moon of my nights is like one of my fav. songs. SUODETHS intro is amazing!

3) The Will Return - Hollowheart. SWEET.

4) Swamplord- Even though i love Hades and Dance of water... It's last on my chart...

Probably THE 4 strongest albums ever to be released by any band in the history of metal. :headbang:

My list goes like this:
1. They Will Return
2. Swamplord
3. Swampsong
4. The Black Waltz

But they are all good, even the weakest album.

Metallica:
Kill 'Em All
Ride the Lightning
Master of Puppets
...And Justice For All

Slayer:
Seasons in the Abyss
Reign in Blood
South of Heaven
God Hates Us All

Black Sabbath:
Vol. 4
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Master of Reality
Paranoid

I could go on and on :D I love Kalmah, but they don't stack up to some of the big dogs quite yet, IMO. Maybe time will change that :D

IMO the only thing that you posted above that is better than kalmahs 4 albums is Metallicas lineup, and thats even a close one.

EVERY kalmah song is a masterpiece from beginning to end, i cant say the same for any of those other bands. Black Sabbath has some very good songs, Slayer has a few good ones but the rest are shit, and Metallica has alot of good ones, but still not every song. I feel this way about alot of older style rock or metal. Take Iron Maiden for example, they have some amazing songs, and then some that sound like ass.

For me there are only a few kalmah songs that i would skip if i was listening to every cd for a few hours.

True, every Kalmah song deserves credit except maybe Skin of my teeth, i just don't like this song :Smug:

Well, if Kalmah toured more often, maybe they would get more respect? Outside word of mouth, there is nothing else promoting Kalmah. No merchandise, no tours... :(.

On matters like respect, who are you to say who deserves more respect than another? 'Bodom has done many tours, released more albums and coincidentally gets more attention. If Kalmah wants to gain more 'respect', they need to start working* harder for it :p

*Oh sweet Jesus, don't take this the wrong way.

well, unlike bodom Kalmah do take their time when it comes to releasing albums!
bodom steps: release single, release album, merch, tour europe/America/Japan and now the ESP endor. where Alexi has his own sig model ... I think Kalmah should start thinking of releasing singles before releasing an album .. more money = a chance for a tour in da US .. it's all about marketing .. etc (I'm doing M.D. so don't flame me!)
As for the album, from old Kalmah Swamplord, They will return and then Swampsong (lack of guitar solos [compared to the other albums!])
New Kalmah, I just love the new album I would say it's either my best or 2nd best album but that's just me! I liked the old vocals and I like the new vocals!
