What a disappointment this album is after the brilliant Permission to land.
I can see that the band has tried to go for a epic theatrical sound but it just doesn't work.
Has anyone else heard this album?
It does have one or two decent songs but nothing to compare to anything on Permission to land.

Yeah I was a little disappointed in it,but its growing on me. I agree it doesnt come anywhere near the greatness of permission to land.

There arent enough rockin songs on the new album thats for sure.

I've just borrowed Permission To Land and given it a spin this morning. Not bad but nothing remarkable. Reminiscent of AC/DC but with glossier production. My main gripe is that 38 minutes is nowhere near acceptable album length in this day and age. Apparently the new one is even shorter. What next, an EP?

The album gets better with each listen. I thought it was very average when I first listened to it but it does grow on you. I still don't think it is nowhere as good as permission to land.
