Hard rockers THE DEAD DAISIES have released a captivating new single, "A Song And A Prayer", on Spitfire Music/SPV, just days prior to kicking off their massive six-week joint headline European tour with THE ANSWER. A brilliant short film has been created, reflecting the poignant story behind the lyrics of "A Song And A Prayer", the fourth single to be taken from THE DEAD DAISIES' much acclaimed new album, "Make Some Noise". Filmed in Queensland with producers Sally Madgwick, Benjamin Evans and Matti Crocker of Luminare Media, with direction from Damian Lang, it features a dynamic cast that includes Alex Ftizalan (Ren), Ruby O'Kelly (Grape), Curtis Bock (Bok) and Cliff Ellis (Top Hat Man). Says THE DEAD DAISIES singer John Corabi: "This song turned out to have a special vibe to it, very accessible, which is really cool. But the lyrics are rather dark. In the end, it's about hope, it talks about all the troubles we're all going through — and that you have to be hopeful, that you will come out of it. Always look on the positive side, that's the message." THE DEAD DAISIES were formed by guitarist and songwriter David Lowy, whose keen instinct and clear vision has guided the recruitment of an amazing revolving lineup of renowned musicians since the band's inception in 2012. Initially, Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed of GUNS 'N' ROSES, plus THE ROLLING STONES band members Darryl Jones and Bernard Fowler, as well as John Tempesta and Charley Drayton of THE CULT, were involved. Lowy has once again enlisted incredibly talented international stars to record "Make Some Noise". Regarding how he came to be involved with THE DEAD DAISIES in 2015, Corabi told Music Feeds: "I'd known Brian [Tichy, drummer] and Marco [Mendoza, bassist] for awhile; and I knew Dizzy, who was in the band at the time. I didn't really know David at all, though, and I'd never met Richard either. Marco was actually the one who called me when the band was in the process of changing singers. He asked me if I'd fly out to California to meet the guys, so I did — and next thing you know, we're in Cuba of all places, rehearsing to do some shows there. After those shows, I came down to Australia to make a record with them. It's been a whirlwind ever since. I had never even heard of the band before Marco called me, but when I mentioned them to my guitar tech, he knew them straight away. He was telling me about how they'd toured with KISS and DEF LEPPARD, so I got online to check them out — and here we are." THE DEAD DAISIES are: Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO), John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE, THE SCREAM), Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY), Brian Tichy (OZZY OSBOURNE, FOREIGNER) and David Lowy (RED PHOENIX, MINK).
