Yes, so my brother bought this Motley Crue autobiography recently and I've been reading some of it.

It's quite amazing some of the shit these guys got up to, and the fact they're not dead by now. What's even more amazing is how they managed to remember it all. Good reading though.

Blitzy, read it. Seriously... you don't have to be a fan to like it. Most of it is about their lifestyle and trouble they got up to, not the band's music. Best autobiography/biogrpahy EVER written. You won't be able to put it down! Plus, Iron Maiden even get a mention from when they toured together and its really funny haha! You can definitely see how the drugs were making the Crue paranoid around that time!

One thing too, I was already a massive Crue fan but that book made me appreciate some of the songs even more after hearing the stories behind them and stuff. Like Dancing On Glass was one I always considered one of the many throwaway tracks (however one of the better ones) on the filler-packed Girls Girls Girls album but I like it now because the lyrics are great and I know what its about.

I can't recommend that book enough. Quite simply, its the wildest rock & roll story ever.

ive got a mate who isn't really interested in the band and i lent him my copy and he loves it. He was so shocked about the shit they got up to

the best book ever.

Troops is right Blitzy, its a great read! Even though they come across as the most selfish wankers ever, but its a great book!

long live the crue! i picked up 'Loud As Fuck' yesterday! wooooooo!

I got Loud As F@*k for free :headbang:

Awesome double CD actually. Unlike their other greatest hits its packed with their awesome non-single tracks... and in fact their choices are awesome. The 5 songs off Girls are the best 5 on the album. The 6 songs off Too Fast are 6 of the best on it (but I'd replace Starry Eyes with On With The Show or Come On & Dance). The 5 of the 6 songs off Shout are the best on the album (I don't like Red Hot, should've put Ten Seconds To Love there instead). Awesome choices off Theater Of Pain too, Louder Than Hell, Home Sweet Home and Tonight (We Need A Lover) are the 3 best tracks on the album. And good choices off Feelgood, and I'm glad Without You ain't there coz it sucks. Then there's Primal Scream which rocks, my fave song off the self titled album (Hooligan's Holiday!), and the 2 tracks off New Tattoo are great ones too. I think 6 songs off Generation Swine kills it a bit though!

As Haupy said - LONG LIVE THE CRUE! :headbang:

And it is seriously the best book ever written. Like one of the review things on the back cover says... open it at any spot and find a story you won't forget. What a wild tale! Nothing but sex, sleaze, drugs, arrests, violence, deaths, overdoses, fights and of course rock & roll!

Best book ever written? I bet it's not as good as "The Riders" by Tim Winton.

I own it but haven't felt inclined to read it yet.
