Hello Prog, it's been awhile. TWA is not one of my faves though it's got some great stuff like Sin of the city, Breath after breath and ofcourse OW and CU.

Satan, they have way better stuff. I rank them just after Beatles, Zep, Floyd, Abba and BG's in greatness.

Horrible beyond belief. In fact I have a forum dedicated to criticism of their latest moves and that album in particular. There's quite a few of us that feel the same.

Taylor is not too shabby on bass. For a pop band, they actually were good musicians. That's what cracks me up about the last 20 years in pop: vanilla ice, mc hammer new kids on the cock, n sync spears...etc. They're not bands! They don't play instruments! They rarely write any songs themselves! Boy "bands"?!! Puppet performers more like it, I say!

Well the key to that is that they weren't really pop. Def Leppard and Bon Jovi were far more pop, Duran had this darker sound through much of their career and their roots are very much rock.

These three are great indeed Cracks in the Pavement, Shadows of your Side and Of Crime and Passion, specially the last one. Cool thing is how they sometimes bring back old songs or even ones they never played before. They played I take the dice for the first time ever, last year. Always glad to see a real Duran fan. ;)

I downloaded the s/t album mainly because of having heard the song "Ordinary World", which is a fucking incredible song. Nothing else on that album seemed to live up to it, really. They seem to be a largely-generic pop band with a few occasional flashes of brilliance.
