We have been meaning to take some new promo pics for a while now. The one we were using was almost 5 years old. Recently, we were selected by HEAVY Magazine in Germany to feature one of our songs ("Planet Hate") on their METAL CRUSADE Compilation CD that goes out with 30,000 copies of the print magazine. So, we decided to meet at a local forest perserve and have out photographer Valerie Panos snap a few shots.

The deadline was approaching and the only time we could all coordinate our schedules was to meet (of all days) early Easter morning before everyone went to their family obligations.

Val took like 75 pictures... Here are a few of them:

Nice! Left handed AND playing the strings upside down.

I'm left handed and always wondered if I had this much -> <- musical talent and tried to pick up a guitar, would I try to play right handed, buy a made-for-lefties guitar, or just flip a guitar over to the other side and learn all the fingerings upside down?

So what kind of place was Madpower held in?
In all honesty, it looks like someone's garage....

Couple observations:
1) Looks like there was a fire-sale on Novembers Doom shirts.
2) The short guy in Twelfth Gate (forgot his name), looks like he must have shot a round of basketball before the gig, but still remembered his Gorguts shirt!
3) The keyboardist in Mindwarp Chamber is a dead-ringer for Mike Portnoy!

Sorry I missed the show. From the look of the stage area of the venue it appears to be similar to the Knights of Columbus VFW Hall in Arlington Heights. Wasn't this MadPower show moved to some biker bar at the last minute?

1. Yeah, can you tell a lot of us are NovDoom fans? hehe
2. Yeah, we don't wear costumes...just worry about playing METAL!!!
3. Hell yeah! Just call him Mikey...hehe.
