THE GATHERING's Original Mandylion Lineup Reunites For 30th Anniversary Concerts​

"...The Gathering's classic lineup of Hans Rutten (drums), René Rutten (guitar), Hugo Prinsen Geerligs (bass), Jelmer Wiersma (guitar), Frank Boeijen (keyboards, backing vocals) and Anneke van Giersbergen (vocals), have announced two concerts to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Mandylion album.

A message states:

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mandylion, we will share the stage with Anneke van Giersbergen once again! The original Mandylion line-up will play two exclusive shows in Doornroosje (Nijmegen, NL) on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of August 2025. You can expect all Mandylion tracks and more from our Anneke era. After so many years, we are very excited to celebrate this anniversary together, an album that still means so much to us.

THE GATHERING Announce Mandylion 30th Anniversary Reunion Warm-Up Show For Eindhoven​

Hey everybody, to be well-prepared for our 5 sold-out concerts at Doornroosje this August, we’ve decided to do a try-out show at Dynamo – Eindhoven. It’s not a strange choice, since our first major festival performance after the release of Mandylion was at Dynamo Open Air in 1996. This try-out, featuring the original Mandylion line-up, will take place on June 29, 2025. Pre-sales start this Friday, February 21, at 12:00 CET here. Please note, we will be playing at Club Dynamo, not the festival.
