Hey!

It might sound like a joke but it isn't... I didn't want to talk about it right away but hey, in 'The Gift of Music', my version from iTunes, at 2:50, there's a glitch in the sound on the right side....

I notice it every time but the good thing is that I know that 'heaviest' part is starting right after... a kind of cue :p

Nah, it's a weird sound, a 'tock' that'S unnatural..

man, I've been listening to Metal and guitars for the past 30 years... and I've never heard something like that.. so, either it's a bad/error compression thing, or it's a ugly sound just like in I Am. Sorry but that's how it sounds to my ears.

To make it short: It is there (CD ripped to mp3) - and you are not weird :)
It occurs with the guitar chiming in for its downward run.

I think the problem is that the overall production of this album is so extremely clean and precise (kudos to Matt for that), that you can hear even the smallest glitch that one wouldn't notice or take care of on other albums.
Probably we should not call out every little minor production imperfection in the public. People, that do not listen to the album with hifi stereo headphones on, might not even notice them...until we headphone listeners point them out.

And these little imperfections shouldn't hold anybody off from buying this strong album!

And I've learned from the I Am "Wha!" thread to not even try to hear things like this when posted, because once I hear it, I can't stop (I had never noticed it prior to that thread, now I can't stop hearing it).

So I'm skipping threads like this going forward

No, but really......I just opened the audio file up in a music editing software and zoomed in to an insane degree - there's nothing even remotely unusual in the track. And I stick by my previous statement that you all are just really bad at listening to complex music.

I use a headphone that is known for its "merciless" sound (AKG K-271 Studio). That means it is known for sounding very natural, but also for revealing any flaws in production.
The album sounds excellent through this headphones! I must think hard to find another album that sounded as full, clean and clear on this headphones - and probably wouldn't find any in my entire cd collection!
As I said before my assumption is, the closer to perfection something is, the more you'll notice itsy-bitsy tiny imperfections.

As for your statement...
I LOVE complex music, I love listening to different melody lines at the same time, to listen to the different instruments contributing to the big picture, finding the small aspects and ideas in the music you won't hear when listening on the bus or in the car! I love multiple choirs, harmonies, subtile sounds that can transport or intensify emotional parts (like in this song the "choir" sound deep in the background in the part from 3:00 minutes on)!

That's a reason why I love to listen to baroque music like Bach and Vivaldi and thus I love to listen to metal from bands like Theocracy, Wuthering Heights, Rhapsody, Ayreon and Saviour Machine!

I LOVE the gift of music! Thanks and Glory to God for this precious gift!

Ditto here... I usually don'T hear it or forget about it when I listen to the song in my living room-sound system, but I usually listen music in the bus or walking, so I hear good earphones and bang, I heard these two things (three actually, even a fourth one). The thing is that I love the album and it doesn't make it less good, it's only small details that are annoying and could bring harm I think onto Theocracy professionalism, who knows... n'way, I have 3 main purposes on bringing these 'glitches'

1- Point the mistakes so that in the future, it doesn't occur anymore. The songs are amazing, the production is WOW but there are these little things that darken everything. So, maybe the mistake is from the production and maybe it will bring them experience, feedback or whatever for a new release or the future.

2- Point the mistake towards the compression process since that kind of errors occured to me when I compress my own CD and there'S an error somewhere physically on the disc or with the settings... so, get a better quality-standard-thing to please the fans and the stores Theocracy and the label deal with... and of course, don't repeat the error in the future... and sound more professional :) I don't know whose mistake it is, but someone has to correct it.

3- I don't remember my third one.. lol

And I enjoy complex music, and listened to more complex music than Theocracy is and it has nothing to do with hearing a either production or compression mistake. I just think you just don'T get it.
