Most of you are not aware that I do not publicize the gold badges at all. In fact, the only place any info about that can be found is in the little read FAQ section of the website. I have intentionally kept it that way to keep the list from getting out of control over the years. That myth has perpetuated over the years and I did nothing to debunk that. That is good for those waiting and bad for me in that supply will eventually outnumber demand from those aware of them.
The recession has obviously hit individuals and businesses across the country. I am no different. The gold badge wait list has officially dried up. I have received numerous emails from disappointed fans stating they simply cannot afford to go this year for various reasons. I completely understand that and empathize with them.
All gold badges for this year are officially sold-out. I will take the next 50 names for the reserve list and then close it down again. I'd say the first 15-20 have a shot at getting them next year.
Gold Badge Perks:
1. You get early entrance into both the Showcase and the Festival. Get the seats you want or head straight to the front rail.
2. You get early entrance into the vendor's area. Buy all your swag and return it to the hotel before the doors are even open. No keeping up with stuff over the course of the show.
3. You get early notification of the festival dates. With hotels at a premium, you get the one you want before they jack the prices up after they realize what weekend it is.
4. Private raffle with tons of prizes including cds, shirts, etc. This year will include backstage passes for Saturday as well as autographed items.
5. Private clinics & meet/greet that vary from year to year pending availability and budget. I do have one scheduled for this year already and am working on a second. Both tba later.
6. Email updates so you don't have to worry about missing something by not checking the forum or website on a regular basis.
7. Anything else I can think of along the way...
The cost varies from year to year but always remain $20 more than a regular ticket via ticketbastard (and those bullshit charges).
