Best album of 2006 IMO next to LOG's cd.
Best song ? The Fallout no doubt.
all songs are called with "The".
The Fallout, The Medusa, The Shifter etc.

Anyway i am gonna buy this withou any doubt but i downloaded because it isnt released official.
The mix is really good ( what can you expect ?! ) but i prefer the mix of Revolver but that's just me. This record is Heavy, Verry Melodic wich i love and just know that Anders does a good job at that.

Just heard it. Sounds interesting. More melody is a great idea as far as I'm concerned. It makes the overall stuff deeper and more dynamic. Good stuff.

Maybe melody would be good if he was a decent singer, its actually the accent that fucks me off the most. Annoyed me in revolver also, but that was less frequent. This is just a joke.

i got it....

it's fucking killer...these guys are re-discovering themselves in their own way

quite different tho, but awesome album!

what did u guys think about production?

nice guitar/bass tone!!

edit: dolving rulez! best singer in this kind of music!

What the hell are you guys talking about? Wait til it comes out and BUY it!

Btw, I like that there seems to be such conflictiong opinions on it. I might just give it a chance based on that.

I heard a couple of tracks from a promo. version, which is presumably the one you all have, and it seems really vocal heavy to me - there's a chance the actual release might be different I guess.

Song-wise, it's a surprisingly big change (for me at least). I like the new approach, but I don't think they've quite pulled it off - given how different this is it's not that surprising though. My biggest thing with it is that when they slow things down the guitarists don't seem quite so sure of themselves.

As for the Dolving thing - he's not a great singer by any stretch, but he emotes brilliantly. The slightly dodgy singing just adds to how close to the edge he actually sounds, it's part of his character. If he was as clinical as the dude from Nevermore he'd sound completely out of place and not half as mental.

Steve

i agree with what steve said above regarding dolving.
i like the new album. different style to the early stuff but so was revolver and i prefer the new album to that (too many of those weird slow songs on that).
production is great! that tue madsen guy is doing some great work these days.

regarding dolving, hes a great singer, there's no way and no singer like him in the metal/core scene (i think only chuck billy from testament and flynn from machine head does... ), his voice is good and he can scream, SCREAM well...
of course, i respect your opinions, this is mine!

about the album, production is awesome, i loved that guitar tone, very good!
they create a very different album in their own style without loosing that "the haunted" vein.... but in my opinion they created something real different and fresh in the metal scene, very good album!

ps.: first haunted album is their masterpiece along side last at the gates album!
