The Haunted: The Dead Eye

hehe

i dont know why they spent time tuning the drums the way they did...

ah...mnemic woundn't be produced by FF guitarrist?

According to the man himself the drums aren't triggered (and, by my reading, aren't quantised or anything else). For those of us who like a more organic production, this bodes well. I'm a bit bored of records where the stereo kicks make me feel like I'm in the Monty Python kipper slapping sketch.

maybe not 'triggered' but it could have all been sound replaced still!
or drum machine!:)
the dude is a good drummer but on 'the haunted made me do it' it didnt sound like he's a very hard hitter so i'd assume a lot of compression was used.

i can't stop listening to this new haunted album

it has one of the best guitar tone ive heard in a while, does anyone know how to get close to that sound? i know it's a 5150

ah the bass is incredible too, very tight!

I have always thought that Anders had a good guitar tone...even with At The Gates. Production sounds great on this bad boy and the tunes are pretty good too. Currently, I really like The Flood. That may change as I listen to the album more though.

The kick definitely sounds replace - probably by his own kicked, but it's too consistent to be 100% natural, you know?

That said, I love the writing on this album, and the production is killer! Definitely a 'vibe' production, but those guitars still sound amazing in context!

Goddamn, the melody and flow of the songs is so good! They really matured a lot, this could be my favorite release from them yet, and I'm wearing a One Kill Wonder shirt.

Just listened.

Its fucking amazing... dunno how anyone could shit on this disc... its just absolutely crushing...

and I STILL seriously want a Dolving-esque front man. He and Tim Williams in bloodsimple are just fuckin wicked.
