..just came out a few days ago. So, has anyone heard it yet? I am pretty amped to hear it.

I think it is just another Wino classic. Most of the experimentations of "Mother Teacher Destroyer" are gone, this one is all about riffs, groove and weird moods. While it is more reminiscent of The Obsessed than any other THH release, it still sounds different than anything Wino has ever done. He makes innovations on his own unique style and that is why his music doesn't sound like anything else really. That's what amazes me about this artist, every album he makes has its own musical identity and still screams "Wino music" from miles.

Hmm. So far I have 1 Obsessed album, 1 Hidden Hand and 1 Spirit Caravan. They're all pretty good! I definitely see what IotS is saying about Wino expanding on his sound while keeping the core the same.

I saw the Hidden Hand live this past Friday night. They played a few of the new songs. I don't remember which ones, but they sounded great. I definitely want to check out the new CD.

Okay, this album is REALLY growing on me. "Slow Rain" and "Majestic Presence" are fucking EXCELLENT songs.

I gotta say though...I really HATE the kind of digipack this came in. It just scratches up the cd's. I had to burn a copy of mine, so I wouldnt keep taking the actual cd in and out of the plastic sleeve/cardboard, resulting in it being scratched to shit.

Yes, this thing is a definite grower, the songs have some serious depth, for example you can trace some wicked psychedelic and spaced out melodies being pushed back in the background, only after you listen it for a couple of times. The package you are talking about is the one that includes the ep?

Yes. Each CD is in a plastic sleeve that is inserted into each jacket-side of the digipack. I'd rather have a stopper where I can actually place the cd, so it doesnt have any friction, creating scratches everytime it is taken in/take out.
