The iPods Thread

Ender Rises

Wass sappening?
Just got my new 80 gig iPod classic, so I figured I'd start a thread. Who loves them? Who hates them? Who has one? Spill it!

And I'm interested in colors... is anyone's any other color than black? I figure that would be by far the most popular color.

(Mine is black.)

God I'm hyper right now.

I hate ipods, they are unnecessary expensive, can't play .oggs and you can't just mount it like you normally would with portable drives and start transfering music.

I use iaudio. :|

I have no experience with any type of mp3 player, though I would like to get one that's at least 80. I don't see this happening any time soon though.

My g/f has a 1 gig shuffle which I borrow a lot. It fits about 270 songs on it, which is plenty if you ask me. I can listen to it for 8 hours and not hear songs off some albums that are on there. I don't see the need for 80 gig of memory.

I have a 512 MB Sansa SanDisk MP3 player (Blue and silver). It holds about 7-10 albums at 128Kbps. I got it for working out, and it was great. I use it now and then, here and there. I just had jury duty, so it was great to have it in the waiting area. But mostly I am either listening on car stereo, portable CD player at work, or home stereo.

They're handy for those times when you're out of your comfort zone and your ears are being assaulted by top 40 rubbish.

I have a 2 GB iPod Nano. It holds about 400 songs and, on a good day, I only hit about 100 of them when I put it on random. I'd like to get a bigger one just to have more variety on here, so I might get the 8 GB Nano eventually.

.

I have a 1g iRiver and it works great. I do wish I had more room, but I would rather not deal with the ipod's weird ass port; just plug the fucker in and transfer through a usb cable :kickass:

I've got a 4g iPod Nano (silver). I love that damn thing. Now I can't stand a train ride without it. You can also blame it for my presence on these forums, too, since it was recieving the iPod last Christmas that finally forced me to go and find some more metal to fill it with (I've more than doubled my CD collection since coming here, by the way. Still pathetically small compared to some of yours, though). The 4g is ok for now, but I hope to get a bigger one soon, and hopefully fill it.

This forum is going to be responsible for me going broke.

2gb ipod nano. I got it in January, mainly for jogging; but I also use it for long car rides, where I hook it up to a radio transmitter. I've definitely gotten my money's worth of use out of it, but I also plan to upgrade to a bigger size eventually. With 2 gigs, I usually get tired of what I've put on it after about a month.
