Note to Slipknot: Records tend to sell better, when you stay out on the road and promote them, as opposed to staying home bickering about the lack of sales. 2nd comment: Gold isn't good enough??? What, did you guys really think you were the 2nd coming of KISS and it was gonna be like 1976?? C'mon, a gold record with that heavy of music in todays market is incredible. 3rd rant: Splitting the pot 9 ways = you are always gonna be bitching about $$$$.

TD's deduction: Hope slipknot gets their heads out of their ass and decides to be a band again. If not, I hope you saw 'em live once or twice.

Don't know how much truth there is to this, but I have also heard that the real reason SlipKnot is considering a short departure is because all the members have side projects. I heard that Corey is singing for a different band, the two guitar players have a side project, the drummer has another band, and the DJ is putting out a solo album. I've heard that everybody except the clown is working on something other than SlipKnot. So who knows? I myself have been puzzled with the possible breakup of this new and upcoming metal power!

I agree. I saw them once (they just happened to be there) and it was nothing but droning noise. I listen to alot of music that many would consider untolerable, but these guys are jokes. 9 guys would be something, if they could PLAY TOGETHER. Their timing is shit, they are obviously a studio band, and not a very good one.

I'm with ya here in some ways. I think they are far from perfect, but I think a lot of this back lash is because they are popular. It always happens, band sells records, people say "they suck." Of course I'm gonna get slammed by the slipknot bashers for this, but i have seen this happen time and again. If Slipknot weren't on every magazine cover and on the radio, they wouldn't have as many haters. My thing with them is this, the live show is overrated, and they need to shut up and be a band and tour again rather than squabble, and tighten up their live sound.
