The official lyric video for "The Divided", a brand new song from THE MAN-EATING TREE the atmospheric metal band featuring former SENTENCED drummer Vesa Ranta alongside current/former members of POISONBLACK, REFLEXION and EMBRAZE can be seen below. The track comes off THE MAN-EATING TREE's forthcoming third album, which is due in 2014. Says THE MAN-EATING TREE: "['The Divided' is] slow and heavy, haunting yet beautiful. We think it's appropriate to the current season of the year. It's a perfect fit, we think. The band previously stated about its new material: "Describing our own music is always difficult, but you could say that our basic sound is getting somewhat heavier and more somber, but you still definitely recognize the old THE MAN-EATING TREE sound. Our new singer, Antti Kumpulainen, brings some new nuances to our sound. With him we've done more demo recordings than ever before."Added Kumpulainen: "I knew that my longtime friend Janne had this new band and I'd heard both 'Vine' and 'Harvest' and really liked the atmosphere there was. But what I didn't know was that THE MAN-EATING TREE were looking for a new singer.
