Yep, it leaked. I didn't like it very much the first listen, but I'll give it another shot as my friend thinks it's amazing. What do you guys think?

I like it almost as much as de-loused, and much better than amputechture, Although I haven't got through the disc yet. Still at Cavalettas

PM the link to anyone who wants it. Don't post it on the site.

Francis the Mute is the only album that was very good.

Saw this band on the "Henry Rollin's" show. They did a 12 minute set from, I think, it was "Amputechre" and I thought,"What the fuck are these guys doin'? I need a hit of acid just to get into this."All my friends love this band!! Me, not really.

Try Cicatriz (scar) E.S.P.

Its from De-Loused.

But some other songs to try are.

I don't know what to make of this band. I own De-Loused and Frances The Mute and definitely prefer the former (far too much pointless noodling on Frances), but I don't find myself wanting to listen to it all that often. Obviously they're very talented and I can imagine they'd be insane live, but something about their music doesn't do it for me for some reason, even though it feels like it should.

Well a friend of mine and me listened to this thing yesterday about 8-10 times.( little help from King "Bong.") and this is prog-rock wankery at it's finest. I take back my first post, this band is pretty amazing. It is a challenging listen. The drummer is phenominal. I hear a pyhcadelic, progressive, jazz-funk thing goin' on.

I havent been a fan of anything they have done since De-Loused but I gotta say that this new album is fucking AMAZING.

I feel the same way about the former, perhaps I should check out the new album then. De-Loused was great but Frances the Mute and Amputechture did nothing for me really. They just felt really unfocused.

I prefer De-Loused. I just like the whole spacy feel. I like all their stuff but De-Loused is my favorite.

Mr.Cairath, you need to listen to this thing. The drummer, Thomas Pridgeon is new to the band and only 21 years old. Fuckin' ridiculous how good he is. The guitar work, at times, is jaw-dropping. I would say they've regained their "focus" on this one.:heh:

yes... "regaining focus" is a good term... they really cut down on the pointless crap that often mars their otherwise brilliant work...
