The Metal Foundry 1st test clip

Thanks y'all!

Sure, here is a version with no Slate (quick tweakage): http://www.enditol.net/mp3/TMF_Test3.mp3

FYI the 1st clip was Slate snare only, blended with TMF snare. 2nd clip was Slate kick (all) and Slate snare blended. 3rd clip is all TMF no Slate.

BTW good to hear you not talking shit about a competitor, that's classy. Definitely room for both products I think they both kick fucking ass! :kickass:

OMG, the TMF kick sounds much more reallistic. Nice ;)
Why SSD tends to sound more "robotic"?
If you guys one of my clip of tmf... http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1416648/tema borja3.mp3
thats definetly very bad sounding for me... I'm just learning...
emm guitars are 7 string customs recorded on my Soldano SLO100 Clone and bass is a crapy midi to have an idea... then in TMF I used snare, kick, hats and OH and the toms of NY-Avatar which seems to sound much easier.

and here is a drum sample with the same TMF settings:

Could you share some info on that Axefx patch?

Sure, anything specific? Its a pretty simple chain in tha Axe:

TS808 for boost >> Recto New >> German 4x12 with 57

A little post EQ in the mix and the recto is tweaked a bit for tightness.

Sounds like a good start to me!

Nice stuff man, but I am diging the kick on the first test more than the other 2. I mean in test 2 and 3 I think the kick is too loud and I just don't like the sound of the kick you picked for take 2. Both snares sound good to me.

dude what the fuck are those chords you're playing?! They make me want fight. Loving this shit :kickass: good lads

Cool, the 1st and 3rd are the same kick, although the levels might be different. I think they could both be useful in different mixes.

TMF kick may be more realistic, but sucks in comparison against the Slate one...

I prefer it as well but the TMF one is cool too and have had less time tweaking with it.

yeah, maybe TMF requires more work to get something incredible but i'm sure that you can get this sound with TMF! :heh:

Could very well be.

The chords of EVIL 66sixth

Ah right yes I do similar! On the Black kick, with dipping the top end do you use a high shelf to knock off the top end? If so where do you start it and what degree of cut?
