the metal/rock tracks on Vice City

does anyone know why they used them? besides the obvious 80's factor. Like did anyone read an interview with the creators about it?

On Ign.com I read that they were simply personal picks by the production team.The Vrock DJ (Lazlow) is in fact a real life rock Disc Jockey and he over looked the whole choosing process.
No special reason.

I've heard that the reason was a pool result, made by the developers with the gamers.

They concluded that these songs will never become tiring for us!

Madhouse is the Anthrax song on it. I think Iron Maiden's "Two Minutes To Midnight," is on it too.
