If you didn't know, Electric Wizard went through a drastic change in musicians over the last 2 years.
To make a long story short, the only remaining memeber is the singer/guitarist. However, they have added a second guitarist as well. Their new drummer is Justin Greaves of Iron Monkey.
In a nut's hell, the new Electric Wizard is less noisey, slightly more melodic, and the singer no longer uses distorted vocals constantly.
Anybody that didn't like them before will find that their new sound is sort of a combination of Iron Monkey, Mistress, and Cathedral.
Anybody that did like them before should be ready for a slightly less drugged-out band, but the music is still quite crushing. The music is also a little faster than it used to be.
'We Live' is a much easier listen than 'Let Us Prey', but it is still a GREAT doom album.
