The new Faceless

What is everyone's thoughts on the new The Faceless album, Planetary Duality? I myself thought it was really good.

EDIT: WTF??? They sound completely different and way better. Still...too much wankery and shitty flow, and now they sound like Decrepit Birth or something. But much better. If I see this used I might even pick it up.

Tbh the reaction is justified based on their first album, which added nothing to an overcrowded scene which most of the posters on here, myself included, find incredibly annoying. It was wanky deathcore that demonstrated incredibly poor songwriting. That said, I thought the song Pestilence was more or less perfect, and that An Autopsy was pretty good as well.

The song Akeldama was blatant begging; "please please please someone call us Cynic for the new generation or some bullshit;" the pointless vocorder crap on the new album is more or less the same thing. With that in mind, the Faceless are Cynic for the new generation. Now they can stop putting the vocorder in.

Hopefully they'll go from generally strongly disliked to generally ignored, which is what they deserve, seeing as they're now just a generic tech death band.

So...is that being a hardass? Because if so you might want to grow a thicker skin.
