The new Leviathan & Xasthur...

From the perspective of someone who is trying to stop buying CDs/records, I can certainly say that I did NOT need to hear that!
Shit. I was on the same path until I learned that these two came out and have been blown away.

They're both on my to buy list.

I just bought the first two DsO CDs and the Horna/Woods to Infinity 7" so I'm out of money.

Telepathic With The Deceased is even more eerier than previous outings. It is ridiculously good. As usual, there are so many cool subtleties that would go unnoticed if not paying close attention to the layering.

Also, the cover is amazing as well. Over the art, there is a translucent, white image which to my knowledge is a ghost. Also, inside the booklet is a pic of Malefic behind this old dirty house window which also portrays the image of him as a ghost. Awesome!

That translucent image on the cover looks like a skull to me but I am sure a lot of people will have their own interpretations over that one. The picture of Malefic is incredibly eerie.

These two albums are just freakin' amazin'.

I downloaded Telepathic with the Desceased today and I'm enjoying it greatly. I'll definately have to get this, but with all the money I've been spending on albums lately.. I'll have to wait... just for a little while..... Then I'll attack all the newest Leviathan and the rest of the Xasthur back catalog.

but yeah... this is incredible stuff.

"Telepathic With the Deceased" is great, but I can't get into "Tentacles of Whorror" for some reason, I liked "The Tenth Sublevel of Suicide" though...

Ohh yea I forgot about this thread. Telepathic is excofuckinglent. Definetley in my top 10 fpr 2004 along with Leviathan too. Im really getting sick of people saying Malefic sold out with this release, I think its utter nonsense.

Leviathan & Xasthur are those Los Angeles based black metal bands, right? I should use that as an excuse to support local acts... I'm definitely with JayKeeley and the $10 shipped bit though. :loco:
