Hi there...
I'm just damn curious about your imprissonment.
How's the things coming up in the rehearshalls???
I know it's too soon to know how will the new material sound, but which direction is given to it???
and you guys, what do you think? what will be new DT masterpiece sound about???
I'm little scared because I saw that Helloween flag on the picture at the rehearshal place and well I've to say that I personally love the Keepers but don't think Stanne can actually sing like Kiske ;P, and actually I hope he doesn't try it XD
well ranting again, damn I have to do something with my hands instead of writing bullshit!

I got a kick from seeing that Helloween flag in the rehearsal room. Helloween was such a great band in the 80's. About the new Dark Tranquillity stuff... I hope they will do whatever they feel like, I am sure they will surprise me again! I love all albums almost equally. Can't wait to hear the new album, although its far from being in the shops yet.

well, henriksson always said he likes helloween (the old stuff, very likely), and i seem to recall that walls of jericho is their best album in his opinion.
maybe that poster hangs there since the dawn of time, or else they carry it around in every studio from back when they recorded skydancer (not much in the helloween vein, that, uh?)... take it easy: next time you're gonna try to read strange omens in the way stanne ties his hair or doesn't.

If thats true it's great to me....
Dark Guardian and Blind Tranquillity are my top (topest!!!) fave bands.
just afterwards come dream theater, opeth, vintersorg blah blah etc etc...but that's another world
but BG is a band contemporary to DT so I don't think they have much influence...at least nothing hearable XD

I dont know bout Mr. Sundin but i founded a grl like that by listening to another local band...didnt joined my band but we ended up togheter so goodie
And i have to agree the mind's I female vocals its probably one of the only voices with vibrato that i will ever like...just amazing i really miss female vocals in DT and clean vocals all togheter i hope Mr. Stanne reconsiders...

sara svensson (female singer in TMI), also sang in that old oxyplegatz record (sort of an at the gates side project). she's perhaps one of the most gifted pure-melodic-death metal f singers i've ever heard. (try listen to oxyplegatz 'lust for life')

but i think that nowadays a popular band such as dt (he!) should aim for something completely different... what about a guest appearence by tarja, nightwish's singer?

-> hearse: i think the female vox in 'of melancholy burning' works best with stanne's harsh singing. but it might just be me.

The girl from nightwish???! how! how could it go with dt's style! ok there might be other more talented singers than sara ( Cristina Scabbia imho ) but i just reaaaally think that opera style stuff would never go with DT music....unless they surprise us all in the next album wich they will im shure.
Hehehe ok ok maybe it was a little childish to react like that i just couldnt ever picture her voice with any DT song or evolution but well it..might....possibly...work...

Hm, I think the less massive clean female vocals would work better than Tarja's massive opera voice.

Rich, not massive, but not too flimsy either.

Either way, all the female vocals we've heard this far have been good choices, so I'm sure the guys won't go wrong with this one either, provided there will be female vocals.

Personaly I think Sara's work on TMI cannot be beaten, at least on Insanity's Crescendo ~~~~~~~~~~
But may be, and don't blame me on what I'm to say ;P, a duet Stanne/Nasic (the girl from Guano Apes). I don't like Guano Apes but the way of singing of Sandra Nasic (have you heard Apocalyptica Path vol2????) would be a great voice to consider when mixing it with DT style, wouldn't it???
I wouldn't like something with Tarja (even I think she really kicks major ass ;P) as I'm quite fed up with operatic voices...
well who's to say!
but if they keep without female voices it won't be too hard for me
