For those who have seen both versions of The Office, discuss which one you like best, and talk about which characters you like more as well.
I personally like the original Office a lot better even though I still like the U.S. version. Steve Carell cannot touch Ricky Gervais in my opinion. Ricky Gervais is so hilarious as David Brent, and you just cannot match it. They are definitely played differently though, which to me is a good thing. I also like Tim better than Jim, and I think that the character that portrays Jim is the least distinct in the character. He basically does the same exact things that Tim did. I still like Jim, but not near as much as Tim. Same thing with Dawn to Pam. I like Dawn way better than I like Pam. Pam just gets annoying sometimes. I also like Keith better than Kevin. With Kevin, his actions seem forced instead of seeming natural like with Keith. Kevin does not look as serious as Keith when he says weird shit. Now, the hardest to judge is Gareth to Dwight because I love both of them. This is like a toss up because they are so different, and they are so hilarious playing basically the same kind of person. They both are just great in their own ways. Gareth can be a tad more oblivious than Dwight is when people are trying to mess with him.
That is my take on it. I hope to hear someone elses opinions as well.
