In the spirit of the Kurt Ballou thread i want to bring another extremely talented engineer/producer who makes incredible 'live' feeling hardcore records with some MONSTER tones. he's relatively up and coming, but has made a masterpiece with Title Fight's latest record; i believe it's set the benchmark especially with the un-slammed open/natural sounding mastering. prepare for tonal onslaught:

he also did Balance and Composure's 'seperation', a bit more on the smashed side but the drum tones are impeccable again:

he also did the wonder years' 'the upsides' a few years back, but from what i've heard he recently started working on a $80,000 custom made console.... some crazy neve piece or something.

hope you guys enjoy!

On a similar band style I'm a big fan of "The Panda Studios." He worked on Transit, The Story So Far and Polar Bear Club. I love his drum sounds and he says he shys away from using samples

Will Yip and Sam Pura are both awesome at what they do and post to Instagram religiously, good source for mic setups etc.

Will Yip's recording the new Daylight EP by the way, should be banger central.
