That's uncanny. I have so much respect for this dude, i've ordered some blind guardian stuff too, and from what i've heard, they are damn cool to. I love this dude's voice.

Man how can you like Demons & Wizards? My cousin let me listen to their cd and I found all songs except one boring as hell. Schaffer fucked up. It seems to me that they released the cd only for economic purposes, to make more money, since both Iced Earth and Blind Guardian fans would buy it.

I'm sorry, but I simply cannot listen to Gene Adam sing on IE's debut, he is godawful! The singing on Stormrider kills. Barlowe is definitely a great belter-of-tunage.

D & W took me forever to get used to but it's got some good stuff on it. I can't wait to see Hansi sing live. I have to drive to Dallas, Texas, but it's okay, Symphony X will be there, too!!! For me, Blind Guardian is way better than Iced Earth...Hansi and Andre (and Marcus and Thomen) don't have some inexplicable complex like Jon Schaeffer. Jon needs to get his head out the clouds in his ass.

Besides, IMHO Devin sounds more like Andi Deris (Helloween).

no i am not a joker!

i think that in modern power metal there is no more pioneering spirit there was in the early/middle 80's .

band like first savatage or metal church are fine examples.

and devin townsend is not power metal damn!

Listen to Blind Guardian's new album for example. I would not excactly blame it for lack of the pioneering spirit.
It's true that there are plenty of cloning going on in power metal nowadays. But BG is not "just an ordinary power metal band". Period.

Never said Devin Townsend would be power metal. Devy is above it.
