I've been on real Wildhearts kick. I can't get enough of them...
They just released a covers records that I downloaded from iTunes.
It has a killer versions of Carmelita, Battleship Chains and Unsung....

For me this band can do no wrong. I have all their albums and will make an effort with this latest one. Good old uncomplicated melodic punkish rock!

Right that's the appeal I think, they can do punk to power pop to hard rock to stuff that borders on metal...

What a great band - I saw them so many times when "Earth vs the Wildhearts" came out. They were so unpredictable back then. More recently I met the band when they supported Motorhead a couple of years ago - Ginger is such a great bloke and I'm glad he's cleaned up his act because he is such a talented songwriter.

Six, have you heard any of Ginger's solo albums? He can write some killer pop songs. I like his work with the Wildhearts the best though. "Must Be Destroyed" is one of my favorite albums, their latest one (not the covers album) was ok but just didn't grab me for some reason. They are one of those bands for some reason that I like every other album they put out... don't know why.

Must Be Destroyed is a 5 star album. I think the self-titled album was a mixed bag, it was never released in North America probably for that teason alone... I have not heard enough of his solo stuff and was just looking today at picking up one of the solo albums...

Vanilla Radio is one of my all time fave WH tunes. It's like only three lines repeated but boy it kicks so much ass.

totally,live fast die fast was a great album,one of my favourite ones of that time tbh.saw wolfsbane and the wildhearts both a lot back in the late 80's/early 90's,they toured the uk loads..

great times!
