Them Crooked Vultures will not play on my computer

Is it not readable or does it not play on your player (e.g.: winamp)? I have a cd from a band called Värttinä and it has some weird copy protection that didn't let me play it in Winamp or any other player. It came with a shitty player and the ability to rip it to mp3 in such lovely formats as wmp @ 128 or 192 kbps. I tried everything to crack it and make my own rip (@ VBR V0) for my personal use and couldn't so I downloaded off the internet. Way to stop piracy, people ;)

Same thing happened when I tried to add my Mudvayne "Lost an Found" CD to my iTunes library. It is one of those dual-discs that has audio on one side and DVD on the other. Same story, it had some kind of copy protection and it's own player, but I couldn't get the fucker to transfer. Googled "Mudvayne Lost and Found" and the first link let me download mp3s of the entire album. Kinda irritating to have to do that after paying $20 for the disc.

I had this happen with soilwork's stabbing the drama. Pretty lame. Just run a stereo line out of your cd player and record it into your DAW, it's what Tad would do.

Funny it worked fine on my home computer but not my work computer. Must be some sort of copyright protection.

Which isn't affecting your home computer's CD drive apparently...

I'd rather rip it with EAC or some other capable CD ripper.
For example I've successfully ripped Blind Guardian's "Live" with EAC, I'm not crazy to destroy an original CD in my car...
