Hi there, I'm from the UK and was wandering if there were any self titled albums left to buy or if they are scarce and gone forevermore...

I have found ONE seller but he sells it for a very high price: http://www.musicstack.com/item/292365703

If anyone knows where I could purchase one of these CD's (baring in mind I'm from the UK), please tell me! I love their first album but I just can't get my hands on it unless I'm paying a lot.

Thanks

$50 for that album? O_O I believe you can buy it on iTunes. Although, I wouldn't recommend that.
However, it does look like that's the only option. Good luck.

Oh, you're right. I didn't notice that. o_O
I'd actually like to get the first album too.

this website has it! its 20 bucks to join the site, but with the mp3s being so cheap, its worth it even if "Theocracy" is all your going to get...well, it beats 50 bucks anyway...

here's the link: [url removed]

hope that helps!

Please don't "buy" Theocracy's music from mp3panda. Russian sites can sell them for this cheap because they pay the artist little to no royalties. There is a massive gap between the Western copyright system (which strongly protects artists' rights) and Russian copyright (which does not).

To me, the real question is: do you care that the band is not being compensated when you make these purchases? If not, then the logical question to ask yourself is: why give a Russian site any money for the music? You could just go out to the free download sites and download them. It's the same result: you get the music, the artist gets nothing.

I'm pretty sure the band will never see one penny that you give to mp3panda. There's a reason they give you all the music you want for $20.

Buy the music from the band!

The band typically has them for sale at a normal price. This is the last post I saw from Sue re them:

Hi everyone,

I've closed our listings on Amazon for both Mirror of Souls and the Self-titled CDs -- we're running low on stock, but I'll reopen the listings when we get back from Florida Powerfest. I just don't want to run the risk of selling all the CDs at the show & coming home to orders I'd have to refund!

Thanks!
Sue

Maybe she can chime in with an update :)

if you can find the album anywhere else, then yeah i agreem don't buy it. but if the band itself isn't making the album available to purchase, then why does it matter if you buy from somewhere that doesn't pay them as much, if anything? they aren't losing anything buy it, escpecially with it not even being on iTunes

Yeah, I kind of agree. If the band was selling the album, then I'd buy it from them, but as their not, I don't think there's much choice really :(

The point of my two posts is that the band *has* been selling the album continuously for quite a while now. It seems to me they only temporarily stopped in December. Not sure why they haven't gotten them back up again (and hopefully this is where Sue can chime in), but I would say be patient and await word from the band, because they have been selling them for a long time now. Since we all want this band to have the funds to keep making more music, it's in everyone's best interest to wait and get it from the band.

you're right, but i still think that if the band was that serious about making money of the debut album, they would have posted it again by now, but I heard from Randy of the band RED that once a new album comes out, the band doesn't make any money on the old ones, but when people keep buying them it just keeps them on the radio and gets attention to get the band ono tour (just stuff like that). i defintely wouldn't buy Mirror of Souls from mp3panda or anywhere else, cuz you're right, Theocracy not only needs the funds, but deserves them. i just don't think that they're making anything off of the first album anymore.

Wrong! Red is on a label, so it applies. But if theocracy sells the debut directly, since the label it was on no linger exists, they still make money.
