Really digging the guitar sound, what amps were used in this latest recording?

How many tracks of rhythms were done?

Thanks guys, great work!

Here's a couple pics of the amps Matt used for As the World Bleeds -

These are in my album "Matt's New Toys" in Facebook - actually he got the Krank in 2008 and the JVM in 2009 - Matt doesn't get to get new toys very often (although I swear he deserves lots of them! :) )

I don't think you can view the FB page, but Matt's comment says -
"Those 2 amps make up the rhythm tone on the new album ;) "

Yup, the rhythm tone on the new one is mostly the Marshall JVM (with a Maxon OD 820 in front) through a Mesa Traditional 4x12 cab with Vintage 30s. That's blended with a little of the Krankenstein through a Mesa Oversized 4x12 cab with Vintage 30s.

There are just two tracks of rhythm this time, Left and Right (except for a couple of spots where we added a third track down the middle for really thick & heavy sections with no vocals, such as the end of "Nailed").

The guitar was an ESP Horizon-NT II with Seymour Duncan passive pickups, and the signal was split and sent to both amps simultaneously when we recorded.

Hope this helps! :)
