They are chinese made mics, probably about the quality of the Samson kit mics.
They look a bit like the Shure PG series mics.
I've got a PG 52 (kick mic) and its not too great.


whats the point of good drum mics anyway, you metal guys just replace everything with samples.

^ I know you're probably being a bit sarcastic but even if you are using samples that doesn't mean you're replacing 100% in which case the sound of the raw drums still matters. Also, I prefer to use samples of the drums that were recorded because it sounds a lot more natural than just using some random sample.

+1 for that. 100% replacement sucks (with the exception of the kick, most of the time anyway) on drums. For something like Despised Icon, sure I might be inclined to...but most other stuff sounds best with a blend of the original drum track and a sample, preferrably a sample of the actual drum that's already there.
