THHHHHHRASH (Kill, Aggression, Violence, Mosh, Headbang, Die!!!)

POD Farm preset plz plz.

;) ;) ;) j/k hehe

Guitars :yow:

Sounds super brutal altogether, I also really like the bass guitar alot on this.

Guitars and bass are killer. Not digging the drums so much, the snare is very sampley, and sounds like its clipping a lot. Actually there are a few parts in the song where the master is getting pushed too hard, I would back off a bit.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The guitars don't sound mono to me but I agree they are not exaggeratedly wide. Hard left and hard right, how much more would you want? ;) The thing is that, apart from this song (which reminds me a lot of Kreator / Testament more than Metallica), the rest is more like a mixture between Dimmu Borgir, Kreator and Iced Earth / Gamma Ray. Tons of orchestrations all over the place, so guitars have to leave some room for those. The master is very loud yes (and it's even louder on the orchestral parts) but it doesn't distort or clip badly (maybe it does on the exported mp3 but nothing horrible), plus they keep asking me to put thing louder and louder :) Kick and snare are not exactly what I'd want them to be but I have to follow the band's wishes...

Sounds interesting about the orchestrations. When I heard this I thought it was part of an ultra brutal thrash album. I thought it was already very full sounding lol (considering the adition of vocals to come). Yeah it's the band's choice, I would back down on the mastering myself too to be honest. Other than that it sounds killer and well played. The guitar playing sound really convincing.

There might be a few minor adjustments that the mix needs but the great thing about it is that it already sounds exciting so you're almost there

I like the mix and the music a lot.
one thing that caught my attention was the ride cymbal.
it has a very distinct "ping". care to share which rade was used for the recording?

That extra one db or so of low end boost is the band's will. I do not mind it though as it doesn't fuck up the whole picture, when I referenced to Kreator "Enemy of god" I was kind of in the very same ballpark, but the band wanted me to reference with Dimmu's Puritanical to have more body, so, yeah, I'm just here to serve :)
Sorry I have no idea what that ride is I did not track it, just reamped, mixed and mastered.
Thanks all for your comments though. Makes me really wanna inquire more about that "mono" thing...
