I was just wondering if Gus is influenced in any way by Thin Lizzy? There appears to be a lot of harmony playing on "Mercenary Man," and the lyrics, melody, intro verse and middle verse are all very reminiscent of the Gary Moore/Phil Lynott/Grand Slam song, "Military Man."

It would be a cool nod to the "Wild Man" of rock, if this was a sort of tribute. If not, it’s nice just the same, because “Mercenary Man” could be the best song Lizzy never wrote!

Looking forward to The Premonition!

Yeah, I remember reading an interview where he mentioned that his biggest influences were 80's rock. Even if, technically, Thin Lizzy was in the 70's, their name was still going strong in the 80's, so I wouldn't be surprised that he does love them.

gus said about the premonition: "...Our influences draw from Thin Lizzy to Black Sabbath and Megadeth and you can clearly hear that on the riffs and guitar melodies..."

i love thin lizzy too and i like that gus likes them too!
