Dunno what's wrong with me - starting to like Marshall amps a lot.
Fortin's mod must've done worlds for this thing though, as I've heard JCM800s trying to do metal before and it was never quite like this.

I'm addicted to this tone.
HELL YEAH I LOVE IT
Can I make a stock JCM800 (with a boost in front of course) sound almost like this?
if not I have to buy a fortin Natas then
the bass knob is affecting the wrong frequencies, and the mids are more around 1000-1500hz then around 500-800 so no matter what you do you end up with annoying mids.
btw, I'm not super knowledgeable about the amps tonestacks, but in Marshalls are the tone controls usually before or after the preamp distortion and FX-loop? Because if they are between the preamp and fx loop, couldn't you in theory just use a hardware EQ in the FX loop (if it's serial and not parallel like in Mesa's for example) and just use that for tonal controls?
