Johnny Cash missed the MTV VMA’s last night due to his hospitalization in Nashville for an unspecified stomach ailment. His video for Hurt was nominated for six awards. He lost Best Male Video to Justin Timberlake who humbly dedicated the award to him, saying that he grew up listening to the country legend with his grandfather in Tennessee. After being admitted Monday, Cash is now in stable condition under observation. He still plans to head to LA next week to begin work on a new album with producer Rick Rubin.
