I'm jealous of how perfect the end of Asking Alexandria's single, Morte et Dabo, sounds. Seriously. So included here is my take on just that, the ending of Morte et Dabo. (PS. would you mind filling me in on what you used for that?)

I did this with Cubase 4 LE, Electri6ity, Superior, and PodFarm.
There's no bass.

So basically I recorded this to test out Elecri6ity for the first time. At the time, I was really into Born of Osiris's new CD, so I wanted to try out something like them. And also, since I was so jealous of Morte et Dabo, I wanted to try out something like it with my good 'ol keyboard.

I know the mix isn't too good but it was just a quick project

Tell me what you think!

The name was merely a form a facebook marketing to get my friends to listen to it. Sumerian is... whew, I have high respect for that label.

Joey said he created the intro using Omnisphere, most likely he used omnispere on the ending as well but im not too sure.

EDIT: try panning your instruments at the end wider. They sound too close to the center to me.

It doesn't sound as complex as it was to put together. What you're hearing at the end of that song is the result of a whole day worth of programming and automation to make it all happen (the intro as well). I used a lot of things to do it with. Someday I might open it and take a screen shot so you can see how retardedly exhausting that part is on the DAW side of things.

some of the other stuff is missing as it was either bounced or imported and the source removed right after i did it (meaning it wouldn't be contained in any saves since then).

Wow man thanks for the view of that it was cool to listen to it and follow along on the pictures.
My question what programs you use for the choir and sfx, if you mind disclosing that information.

omnisphere, heavyocity, east west symphonic orchestra, symphobia, battery 3 and probably something else im forgetting about

what about the crash roll???

i have used true strike and east west stuff... but what did you use for the cymbal swells? ...they sound excellent!!!!

edit: those are obviously midi ...drawn at low-high velocity, where as most of the ewql stuff is a single key roll.

it might have been a really old native instrument pack or something

those little lines are expression curves

in those screenshots, anybody know what the little downward black arrows are at the bottom of some of the audio events? ive stared at cubase so long im pretty surprised ive never seen that
