From Target: KISS Alive IV ($21.95). I know I said I wasn't going to buy it, but the DVD is so great that I decided to get the CD version as well. At that price, where can you go wrong?

From Myer: Doctor Who- Earthshock on DVD ($34.95). Cybermen goose-stepping all over the place shouting "DESTROY THEM!" while that little turd Adric nosedives into a planet. Classic DW from beginning to end, even though it cost $2 more than I'd planned to pay. I wanted The Talons of Weng Chiang as well, but alas it was not to be.

From Adelaide Comics Centre via a friend: The second issue of 1602 ($6.50). Is Neil. Is good :headbang:.

Next week I'll be picking up the new Sandman collection "Endless Nights", which had better be worth the $57.95 Dymock's are extorting for it. I'm sure it will be. See above :).

:headbang: Sounds expensive though. I've seen it in the local comic shops, but I didn't pay any attention to the price. I'll double check if you want, unless you've already got it on order, which it sounds like you have.

The hefty pricetag is because it's a hardcover Phloggy. I reckon a comic specialist would charge even more for it than a mainstream bookstore because they know what they're dealing with and have no qualms about exploiting the fans. Either way it's new Sandman, so money is irrelevant :hotjump:.

Sara Kingdom died too Gorey, but nobody remembers her because she was only in The Daleks' Master Plan back in 1966. The actress who played her (Jean Marsh) was married to Jon Pertwee for about five minutes, and later turned up as Morgaine in the Seventh Doctor story "Battlefield".

Nerd mode *off* :)

If she was only in one story, does she count as a companion?

I got the KISS DVD for $32.95 Sydo. Go to www.atlanticdvd.com.au for the best prices on just about anything.

Gorey, yep she does count. The first Doc had quite a few companions that no-one seems to remember. Katerina, Ben and Polly for instance. Those last two hung around with the second Doctor a bit as well, until they were replaced by the better known Jamie (Macrimmon) and Victoria (Waterfield).
