Thor

I went to the cinema with pretty low expectations... but it was pretty entertaining actually. It's not GREAT by any means, but it's not bad either. plus lots of vikingery is never bad

surely not all of the superhero movies are that bad
me, personnally, i thought watchmen was awesome

Nope.

And I'm sorry, but fuck Thor. It was a decent watch, but the actual Norse Mythology behind him is far more interesting than the Hollywood adapted Marvel plot. Let's make a Jesus movie where he's cast down to earth by god.

Since the success of The Dark Knight, Hollywood has been trying to cash in on the superhero cliche. It's fucking disgusting, with linear plots, cliche stories, and bad actors. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Actually most of these movies were in development before TDK hit big. They weren't being filmed, but they were being written, as most of the Avengers movies have been, for years. And Watchmen was awesome.

I get more entertainment and satisfaction from reading the comics. I like to go see the live-action films just to see how far they pulled everything away from their origins. I dont know why but I do. Hollywood is good at taking something from a book, comic, video game and anime and turning it into complete crap. I'm waiting for that one film to unexpectedly blow my mind. So far I have been disappointed.

*prays for the Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell live-action films to not suck*

I was ripping on comic book movies with my friend on the train and this super fat nerd dude chimed in and started talking about how Thor wasn't anything like the comics and how his backstory wasn't the same blah blah blah but some other one will be good etc to which I pretty much just said yeah yet another reason I'm not going to see it and continued talking with my friend. Comic books movies really need to stop because they're fucking awful (only exception I've seen so far would be Dark Knight and Begins (barely). Movies are really sad now considering they're all shitty comedies, comic book movies, romantic comedies or awful horror movies; I can't think of anything that's really blown me away in the past year (but I don't follow movies that much anyway).
