those anti-hangover pills

people always told me this in college and i kind of blew them off, but

seriously, the feeling-shitty effect that comes the day after drinking is caused in a large part by dehydration. if i drink TONS of water before you go to bed, i honestly have very little hangover. the only problem is remembering to do it, but if you're remembering to take pills, well.

none of those pills and no amount of water will get rid of a hangover if you are the kind of person that GETS bad hangovers. your liver hust makes less enzymes to clean your blood than other people.

I get terrible hangovers myself. Drinking a lot of water before I pass out helps somewhat, but not much. The best thing I found to get rid of a hangover (I did this in college) is to just drink consecutive days in a row. After the first night, the next hangover isn't as bad. And so on and so forth. Of course some people may consider you an alcoholic because you are getting drunk every day but hey, no hangover.

I've gotten a few 48 hour hangovers in my day, but a bottle of Gator/Power-ade halfway through the night, then lots of water before going to bed, then another Gator/Power-ade in the morning helps tremendously. I don't think this method works for those nights you drink an entire bottle of whiskey though, but a hangover is well earned on such occasions anyhow.

water helps tremendously

also, I didn't plan on taking those pills, someone was like 'here try these'

also, i drank way more than I was planning to due to the band municipal waste being fucking CRAZY

Strangely enough, I never get a hangover when I stricly drink Jack Daniels from the bottle. Not unrelated is the fact that I find JD to be the less diuretic alcohol.

I hate that smell, especially since I hate tobacco smell in the first place. I used to have a high school teacher with a cinnamon-tobacco-beer stench that would be pretty nauseating...

I know the feeling. I have friends that the minute four beers are consumed they start calling Gin/Seven Up/Grenadine drinks and that's just the end of me. That and shooters of anything but pure alcohol. I can take JD, Vodka, whatever shots with the best of them but stuff like Slippery Nipples, b52s are just a hangover + barfing session waiting to happen...

dehydration is a major reason; on occasion, someone will come in to work at the hospital jodi works at with a bad hangover and ask for an IV to be started- they're fine after that. drinking water before going to bed/passing out is a solid idea, but in the field i find that to be rarely practiced.

"Chupe, come down from that table, put the megaphone down, drop the blowup doll and drink your 16oz of water."

haha, "in the field." Very true.

Ugh, Jack Daniels has given me awful hangovers, but I used to consume a bottle at a time so no wonder. Now the only hard liquor I drink is the occasional scotch on the rocks. Beer hangovers should be easily prevented because they aren't subject to the "I can't believe I just took 11 shots in a row" rule of crazy bar antics.

I don't really get hangovers anymore. I just make sure there's juice in the fridge for the morning and I'm good. An some asprin sometimes but I usually don't need it.
