Thoughts on ProgPower USA 3

Well after resting a bit after a long bumpy flight back
to Puerto Rico here is some of my thoughts on PP3.

First of all thumbs up to Glenn for putting on the BEST
metal festival in the US. The organization of the event
was absolutely first rate, the best I've seen.

As far as the bands are concerned they all gave great
performances. I was looking forward mostly for Gamma Ray
as I have been a longtime fan of Helloween/Gamma Ray so
to me that was a dream come true.

Angra was awesome, not only the music was first rate but
their stage presence was the best IMHO.

Pain of Salvation is as intense live as it is on records,
it's too bad a lot of people left after Blind Guardian
they missed on a great show.

Threshold to me this was the surprise of the festival I had
only heard a couple of songs in Seismic Radio, so I didn't
really know what to expect, they were awesome, specially
the singer, not a high pitched screamer but a lots of power
and great melodies. After their set I had to purchase most of
their catalog!

The most memorable part of the weekend for me was finally meeting in person a lot of the people that so far I had only talked on Siesmic, or just over the phone. It was great meeting you all So a big HELLO!!!! goes out to: Teri (the mistress of metal) , Paul (Krusty), Larry D, Dweeb, Shawn (DJZH), Richard (Solitude), Alicia, Sharon, Ken Golden, Adam (rhavin 2112),Bob Snyder, Deron Blevins (MetalAges), Dustin (Katagory V) and Glenn Harveston.
Hope to see you all again next year!
