Thrash

Try INSANE

They are on Battle Cry Records ... http://www.battlecryrecords.de/ ... A band very much worth checking out if you're looking for some old Slayer sounding stuff.

if you want Slayerish music, you should try more metalcore, many of those bands ripped of Slayer's riffing style big time !

try Morning Again or Disciple

Fucking NIGHTRAGE, THE DUSKFALL, CARNAL FORGE , DIMENSION ZERO, The Haunted. Come on people these bands are the closest youll ever get to old slayer. Sodom, kreator, Destruction incase you wanna stay with the older style.

I'd recommend that you stay away from the Swedish plague of bands like The Haunted, Carnal Forge, Dew-Scented and the like, because they're not Thrash.

Actually Dew Scented are from Germany and they make some excellent thrash. Their latest album "Issue IV" is fantastic!

I too think that Dew-Scented have little to do with all the Swedish melodeath bands, they sound more like an hybrid bewteen thrash and (brutal) death metal IMO. Good live band too!

I know I am going to see them tomorrow night as support act of the mighty NeverMore!! :worship:

Did you know these guys used to be called SLAVES (The even copied the SLAYER logo there) and recorded two demos as that ?

How about Onslaught, specifically the album "The Force". A 45 minute treasure trove of riff after riff after riff
