Nice thread, one of my favourite bands too. My favourite album from them right now has got to be Vheissu...they matured so much on it, and there's just so much emotion in the music.

I never paid them much attention since I don't care for "hardcore"... but then I randomly heard a very lush track at a convenience store... and asked the clerk what it was.. "Thrice" he replied... and I was intrigued. I then found out that they have drifted away from hardcore and become much more experimental. I picked up the "Alchemy Index" parts I and II... and I enjoy them very much. The concept is 4 EPs, each has a theme of one of the four classical elements: Air, Water, Fire and Earth... and each features a distinct musical style.

Love this band.

I was iffy at first, but each album really has gotten progressively more interesting. I can't say that I actually like Vheissu that much, but it was a great new sound. The Alchemy Index I-IV are all brilliant. Definitely the best thing they have ever done.

i was hooked from identity crisis....dustins voice is really good. i liked illusion of saftey alot as well. even when they signed to island and put out artist in the ambulance it wasant a sell out and was still good. dont really like much of their newer experimental stuff but the fire and water albums were quite good i should say.
