The EL CAMINO is Back!!!

That looks pretty nice, actually. The the Falcon looks better, IMO.

Why orange? Red and black are always the standard default colors, and almost always look good. BLAH on orange! :P

Yeah, the Falcon does look pretty good too. But I'm a GM man, so my heart stays with GM. :Saint: Oh, and besides the Pontiac I've seen a GMC version as well. And the Chevy version has been being sold in South Africa already (like the Ford falcon above in Australia).

And orange is a racing color, just like British Racing Green. If you think back to the late 60s and early 70's muscle cars, many of them - Dodge, GM, and Ford - had vehicles that were primarily hot orange or 'british racing' green. So I can only guess it's a throwback to that era.

*shrug*

Hoyt, I like the darned thing, so piss on everyone else! I think the rest of these people are communist. :p They probably don't like apple pie, baseball or Charlie Brown either! Well, Rocky likes baseball, so at least he has that going for him. :p:)

Soooo...they're trying to make the Nerdmobile into a muscle car? There is no way that car will ever be synonomous with "racecar" no matter how they paint it. The vehicle may look nice, but that's all I can say about it.

They Chevy version has actually been around here in the states for a few years. They're a bit more streamlined than they originally were. I see red ones alot. In fact, I've only seen red ones.

Not true, Yippee's college roommate had a BAD ASS El Camino that was a serious car to reckon with! I never liked the cars until I met that one!

so I sent this 'El Camino' info to a metal-head buddy of mine - who many of you will get to meet for the first time at ProgPower this year, WOOT! - and here was his reply:

"It's about time they brought this beauty back! I'll go grab my AC/DC Dirty Deeds 8-track and we'll roll!"

heh heh. I could probably find a 38 Special 8-track to take along.

I have a Boston Boston 8-track here somewhere. It was the only 8-track I ever owned, and it became the soundtrack for one full year of college for me, since I had an 8-track player in my car. Happily, it's a good album to have if you only have one. :)
