From Metal Underground:

TNT vocalist Tony Mills suffered a heart attack last Saturday at Oslo airport on the way to perform a concert. He is now in recovery and is expected to be moved from the intensive care unit today. Mills has stated that he wishes to thank the staff at the airport and the hospital in which he's staying for their help, as well as the fans for their support.

Well wishes for a speedy recovery.

this stinks, as i read about it the other day. but is anybody else with me on this that he should be referred to as SHY vocalist regardless if he is in the band now or not?! i mean if you put TNT vocalist who does everyone think of? Tony Harnell. that is who i thought had the heart attack seeing the original headline.

I had the same initial reaction, but he IS TNT's vocalist these days.

well this is an interesting thing that the press does. They may mention that Mills is TNT's singer never mentioning Shy (the band he is known best for), yet some press will always refer to Jack Frost as a Savatage guitarist, really isn't that a stretch?
When I saw the thread Mills was not the first name that came to mind, I'm with Matt there.

Does anyone here really think anyone in the mainstream press knows the difference between Tony Harnell and Tony Mills? The story evolves as it moves from one media outlet to another. The version on Blabbermouth worded it a little better:

British vocalist Tony Mills (ex-SHY), who currently fronts Norway's most famous hard rock sons TNT, suffered a heart attack at Oslo airport Saturday afternoon (August 28) on his way to a gig with the rest of the band

Well one could argue it being an issue of respect. And it would avoid any possible confusion. But mainstream main or not there is no need to paraphrase the man's career.

i know it's all pointless, but i was really like HOLY SHIT TONY HARNELL HAD A HEART ATTACK!?!?!?

That is EXACTLY what I did!!! I'm so freakin' tired, I read it as Tony Harnell... Damn... I'm glad I read it wrong... All I could think was 'Holy baby Jesus he's to young!!!"

Thanks for setting me straight!!! :)

I do hope that Tony Mills recovers quickly.... thoughts n' prayers to him and his family

Sad news regardless. I sure hope he makes a complete recovery. Shameful how careless the media has become in this age of lightening fast reporting. Hardly anyone takes the time to be either concise or even accurate far too frequently.

Not to Jack. :p

The sad part is that everyone is so relieved that it was not Tony Harnell that it is almost sounding like what happened to Mills is a good thing.

The poor guy had a heart attack...Jeez.

I would not wish that on anybody's singer. So how abouts instead of thanking baby Jesus that it was not "our boy" that got hit by the bus of misfortune lets spend the rest of the thread sending out our get well wishes to the poor bastard that did.

Starting with me...

Get well soon Tony (Mills...not Harnell).

for the record i was not implying that at all! i f'n love tony mills and all he has done. i was merely noting how shocked i was when reading initial statement.

i hope Tony is okay and comes back to rock us all very soon! (just not with TNT, because that sh*t sucked)

SERPENTINE on the other hand. YES!

I don't think anyone is implying or even thinking that. I'm a big fan of Mills' work (pre-TNT at least) and wish him nothing but the best, including a speedy recovery.

I think we need to be not so quick to post and read any and all posts as a WHOLE before we respond...

"I do hope that Tony Mills recovers quickly.... thoughts n' prayers to him and his family"

And for the record, baby Jesus was never 'thanked'... Carry on!!!
