today = blah

the only unordinary thing I got to do was pass out "I'm drug free and proud!" trinkets (pens, pencils, fuzzy stickies for your work area, plastic footballs, key chains, lolly pops) I even had one fat woman try to palm an extra couple of lollypops, it was startlingly pathetic.

I swear to the big deity that pleasing federal employees is stunningly easy. give them some baubles and they're like native americans handing over Manhattan for 24.95 worth of beads.

only other interesting thing was coming up the ramp today to the office it was still dark. out of the stygian black void came the sound of the shovels and machinery starting up to commence the day's demolition. It was like pleistocene creatures stirring for a new day's struggle for sustenance in a harsh, cruel, unforgiving world. And I thought, Rerun is dead, Bldg 12 has outlived its usefulness and is being carelessly and callously ripped apart - and probably in numerous places, some people are listening to Elliot Smith's musical ruminations on life and depression and struggle, and they are crying themselves, because they realize he saw no more hope in his life.
