Today I found a book on the history of heavy metal...

It's titled "Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal", and it has a really badass cover. I flipped through it at the store, and saw a bunch of good bands mentioned. It was written by Ian Christe...

So, does anybody else have this book, and, if so, is it good..?

I found a book on doom metal in hmv, london on sunday, i was really really good i think i may have to invest in it. I saw it and though "oh great here's another book attempting to know what doom is" but its really extensive and features all of the well known and lesser known newer doom bands. Jolly good show
