Tokyo warhearts vs Stockholm knockout

Can only compare the songs that were played on both gigs, SNBN, Lake Bodom, Downfall, and realize the vocals have changed.

Tokyo Warhearts rapes Stockholm Knockout in every aspect. Better songs, better sounds, better playing, better intro, better vocals, better and not too long solo duel, more aggression and overall it actually sounds and looks like metal unlike SKO, which reminds me of a Madonna-show.

Yeah, the spirit of Stockholm Knockout was very pop, while Tokyo Warhearts was actually metal. Obviously a lot has to do with the passages. COB has done enough to convince the metal world they don't take their music over-seriously, time to throw the flamingos and midgets down the drain and get back to roots. Fans actually take it seriously you know. Alexi might spend 2 minutes of passage talking about trees and lakes and hooded men and I'd be content.

Overall, the whole feeling and atmosphere is just so different. You don't even need to start analyzing, just looking at these two videos make you wonder what the hell happened to this band.

I think one thing is their newest album always represents what they're about musically at this time period, this is why I don't even want them to play many old songs anymore cos I've realized they just don't work anymore (mostly due to the vocals); it would not really be a return to the past if suddenly they played mostly old songs.

There's no way we can understand what goes on in the head of people who play the coolest music in front of tens of thousands of people every other night for over ten years. The way they view their music is different to us in the first place since they're so close to it, often a COB band member can't remember the official name of a song cos they communicate in a different way.

though I like better the songs they play in TW, SKO is still way better, they played the songs way better and the sound quality is way better. I don't even listen to TW. I mean, what the fuck happened during the intro of Lake Bodom? I can barely recognize the song, and that apply to most of songs in that album, LB is just the most unrecognizable. Some people might come and say "oh, what's the point on releasing a live album if it's gonna sound exactly like the studio album?" but then I guess it's a matter of opinion. I guess they went too far on changing the songs for my taste.

I couldn't have said it better myself. SKO is pretty much diarrhea dogshit if you ask me.

Tw is overall much better i many aspects. Liked SKO a couple of years ago, must been at the time I had AYDY as favorite album...

Well life goes on. Still think that pre 2002 or something was Bodom at their best- but did acually listen to Not my funeral this morning för the.first time since like April and I must say that I liked what I've heard. ;-)

What the hell happened to this band? :ill:

Alexander left and Alexi stopped cutting.

Not to mention the years and yers of screaming have damaged Alexi'svoice. He's lucky he can still even do these vocals after nearly twenty years of doing them. Please, pleae, people, at least give him that. There's nothing anyone can do, the vocal chords simply degenerate after extended abuse like that.
