Tommy Bolin - "Whips and Roses"

I have recentl been 'introduced' to a new collection of tracks from the late Tommy Bolin (Blackmore's Purple replacement) named "Whips and Roses" and have been knocked off my feet!!! This fella could shred with the best of them....heck, he might be better than anyone from that era.

I now see the great "Come Tatse The Band" in a new light. While being an awesome record, Bolin didn't go nuts like he did on his solo stuff...this is awesome. Eddie Van Halen must have been taking notes!

Highly recommended for Purple fans and fans of shredding guitar (but with soul).

This album sounds mighty tasty to me! I have Private Eyes, but haven't been able to find Teaser on cd at a realistic price. I'll be picking this one up asap. Bolin wasn't just a gifted guitar player, he was an awesome songwriter as well.
